Advertisers

I gladly accept various types of advertising at very reasonable prices on Streetwise-France.com, Skovgaard.org, and FinnSkovgaard.com so long as the sites' integrity are not affected and the advertising themes are not incompatible with the sites' purposes and contents.

Ad types accepted include text ads, features on existing or separate pages, banners, animated ads, just to mention the most common types.

Whatever type of ad, it must be reasonably possible for the site visitor to distinguish editorial content from sponsored content. This can be done discreetly and will be agreed in each case.

Most advertisers pay a flat rate for an agreed period. On expiry, the rate is renegotiated if the advertiser wants to continue.

For some type of services, commission based ads may be appropriate, but I do reserve the right to take commission based ads down if they don't produce at least a minimum annual revenue.

Advertisers should be aware that the site continuously evolves, not least in order to optimise keywords and themes for each page, and that it is not practically possible to guarantee that a page upon which an ad has been placed will remain untouched throughout the advertising period. If significant changes are made to the page during the advertising period, such as changing the URL or splitting the page into two or more pages or merging it with one or more other pages, I will contact the advertiser to agree where to keep the ad on the new layout. If no agreement can be reached, I will refund the advertising fee on a pro-rata basis for the remaining number of days.

Some advertisers attach a great deal of importance to the public "page rank" displayed by Google in a green bar, often giving it much more importance than it really has. I encourage you to consult SEO specialist Jill Whalen's site Highrankings.com about this for complementary information. It should be noted that Google's internal page rank - the one that matters - is not known to the public, and that the green PR bar does not take many important SEO criteria into account at all. It notably does not say anything about how likely any given page is to be found by Google in a search.

I do not enter any agreements of exclusive advertising rights, such as for example "we will only advertise if no competing ad is allowed". However, if you have paid for a feature article on a separate page that exclusively contains your own content, no other ads will be placed on that page.

For each purchase of advertising or commission paid, an invoice is issued by my French registered business. My present tax status allows for no value added tax to be added.

Ads for animal charities and certain animal rights associations may be included at no cost, subject to individual approval. Currently, PETA ads are included at no cost.
